Travel insurance is not compulsory but travellers without insurance should obtain an EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) to cover their medical expenses. |

The EHIC is issued by the Prescription Pricing Authority (PPA) and is available free of charge either online, by phone (0845 6062030) or by post (Forms are available from major post offices). |

| You will need to have the full name, date of birth and either the NHS or National Insurance number for each person you are applying for. |
